What is Airfordable?

Airfordable allows you to book a flight for a fraction of the cost upfront and pay the remaining balance in installments before your departure date.

How does it work?

  1. Search for your flights on Google Flights, Expedia, Orbitz, Priceline, or Travelocity and take a screenshot. You can also search on any direct airline website.
  2. Sign-in to your account or sign-up if you don't have an account.
  3. Click on the "New Flight" button at the top of the page and follow the steps, beginning with uploading the screenshot.
  4. We'll show you installment schedules that you can choose from. You are only required to complete an upfront payment. The remainder of the balance will be paid in up to four installments before your travel date.
  5. You'll receive an email with your e-ticket information after you've completed your installments.

Do you charge a service fee?

Yes, we do. Airfordable charges a one-time service fee. Sign in and use the installment calculator to determine your fee.

Does Airfordable check my credit?

No. You are so much more than your credit score, so we don’t turn you into a three digit number.


How do I take a screenshot?

What does my screenshot need to show?

Your screenshot must show the following details: airports, travel dates, flight times, airline, and the total cost of the flight including tax and any upgrades.

What travel websites may I use?

There are over one thousand travel websites available online. Here is a list of the websites we allow:

  • Expedia
  • Google Flight
  • Orbitz
  • Priceline
  • Travelocity
  • Any airline website except TAP Portugal

What if the travel site I want to use is not available?

We work very hard to ensure that you will have the best experience possible when using our service. For this reason, we are very selective of what online sites we accept to give you high quality service and to prevent disruption to your travel plans. You can use any of the sites listed above which have been vetted to ensure optimal customer experience.

How close to the flight departure date may I book?

Your departure date has to be at least 19 days away from when you submit your booking. Unfortunately we cannot make any exceptions to this rule.

What kind of flights can I use with Airfordable?

We accept round trip, one way and multi-city flights.

How many travelers can I have on one booking?

You can have up to 7 travelers on one booking. If you need more than 7, please contact us.

How many bookings can I have at a time on my account?

You can have a maxiumum of 5 bookings at a time.

What is the a minimum or maximum amount per booking?

Your flight cost only needs to be greater than $200.00.

Can I book a flight on behalf of others?

Yes you can. During the booking process you will asked to fill out the primary traveler's information. Fill in the information of the person you are booking on behalf of (NOT your own information) before you submit the booking. You will be responsible for paying for the ticket, but the ticket will be secured under the name of the primary traveler.

Can I still use my frequent flyer number with Airfordable?

Yes, absolutely. We love miles and a fast track through TSA just as much as you. You can add your frequent flyer number and/or known traveler number directly with the airline once your e-ticket information is released to you.

How do you handle seating arrangements?

We cannot guarantee seat assignments. We pass on all requests to the airline but cannot guarantee they will honor the request. This is the same statement made by Priceline, Expedia and other online travel agencies. That said, if the airline allows us to pick seats we will do our best to accommodate your request! At the time of booking please be sure to include a screenshot of the seats you would like or select a seat preference on our website.

How do I receive my tickets?

Shortly after your last installment is processed successfully, you will receive an email that contains your six character airline confirmation code. You can use this code and your name on the airline's website to view your reservation by clicking 'My Trips/Manage My Trips/My Booking'. If you don’t receive this email from us in your main inbox or spam folder within 24 hours, please email us immediately.

Within 24 hours of your flight departure you should be able to check-in on the airline's website under 'Check In' or at the airport and have access to your boarding pass. Once check-in is completed, the airline will give you options on how to receive your boarding pass such as print at airport kiosk, receive mobile boarding pass, or download the airline's app.

Can I make changes to my flight after I book?

You definitely can but there may be an additional cost. Most airlines charge a change fee anywhere between $100-$300. This fee as well as the difference in ticket price must be paid to us before any changes will be made. If you have completed your installments already, all changes must be made directly with the airline. We are no longer your point of contact once your ticket is paid in full.

Can I submit a booking for an unaccompanied minor under the age 18?

At this time, we cannot accommodate bookings for an unaccompanied minor. Please contact the airline directly to make this kind of booking.

Can I submit my booking including an airline credit or voucher?

Unfortunately, our system does not accept airline credit vouchers.

Does Airfordable accept held/locked fares?

Unfortunately, we do not accept screenshots of fare lock flights or held fares. The screenshot would need to be of the current price at the time you submit it on our website.

Will Airfordable book the exact ticket I submit?

When you book with Airfordable, Airfordable guarantees and secures the same itinerary on your behalf (i.e. exact date, time, location, and air carrier specified in the booking/screenshots). Airfordable reserves the right to use the travel agent of their choice and may use a different travel agent than the one specified in the booking/screenshots.


Where can I view how much credit was applied to my booking?

Your payment schedule for each booking at My Account > Booking History will indicate how much credit was available and applied at the time of booking.

How can I earn referral credits towards new bookings?

Through Airfordable's referral program, you earn credit for each friend you refer using your unique referral link. You can access your referral link through the banner at the top of the page when you sign in. Simply copy & paste your link in messages to friends or share it on social media and watch your credits grow as your friends sign up with your link and book their first flight with us.

Important: Your friend MUST use your unique link to sign up and book first before you will receive credit. Credits expire one year from the date they are accrued.

Where can I access information on credits earned?

You can access information on credits earned such as total credit available and more at My Account > Credits .


What happens if the price goes down after I book?

Our crystal ball hasn’t come in just yet. Until it does, we cannot predict any price changes. With Airfordable, you are paying to protect your airfare from increasing in price which can be a lot more costly than price drops.

Can I pay my installments with a different card?

Yes, you can pay with any card you would like. You will need to add and save the card on your account page —> card information, and then email us at to set your card of choice to that specific booking.

I need to make changes to my payment dates.

We are happy to do that. Just let us know before we get a failed payment alert. Those aren’t fun.

How are my payments made?

We automatically deduct each payment on your scheduled dates. No need for any action on your end.

The dog ate my card. What do I do?

Bad dog! If anything happens to your card prior to paying your ticket in full, login and add a new card on your account page —> card information. Then, email us at so we can update your booking to charge the remaining installments to your new card. You'll be able to delete the old card on the account page after we update the card on file for your booking.

Can I pay more than my regularly scheduled payment?

Absolutely. Just send us an email and we can process the payment behind the scenes and apply it to your account. We plan on giving you the ability to do this in the near future.

I can’t make my payments anymore? What do I do?

We understand that life happens and you can’t always control it. Let us know as soon as possible so we can discuss your options.

What happens if I need to cancel my booking while on an active installment schedule?

In the event of a cancellation within 24 hours of booking, the upfront payment paid will be refunded. If you cancel after 24 hours of booking, all prior payments paid are non-refundable and the remaining balance of the minimum payment amount (if any) must be paid to cancel the booking.

Who do I contact about a refund after I have paid for my ticket(s) in full?

Any refunds or credits are determined by the airlines policy and procedures and no longer involve us. Once you've paid your ticket(s) in full and you have received your ticket(s), any changes to your tickets must be done directly with the airline. The same as you would if you purchased the tickets directly with them.

Is Airfordable’s service fee refundable after I’ve received a refund from the airline?

Unfortunately, our fee is non-refundable per the agreement you signed because it is for the payment plan service we fulfilled and provided to you. It's unrelated to the airline and the cost of the ticket.

What happens if I am issued a refund by the airline?

We will refund you should the airline offer you a refund. Please contact us via chat or email and include the date and amount of the refund so we may expedite the refund process.

Airfordable issued a refund to me; when will I receive it?

Refunds can take anywhere from three to seven business days to appear back to your original form of payment. Unfortunately, we have no way of speeding up this process however you may contact your bank to see if they have faster options available on their end.
